Hi everybody,
Sorry for my late reply.
Yesterday we went up, but the sky was all covered with clouds and one hour later it started to rain. They organized 2 cars for visiting the National Park and the Adventure Park.
Today is already canceled due to the rain so they organized a trip to a famous Korean site.
This evening we should have the price ceremony, I think at 16:00.
So, final results:
1st - Jack BROWN (USA)
2nd - Jimmy PACHER (ITA)
3rd - Lucas BERNARDIN (FRA)
Women resutls:
1st - Daria KRASNOVA
2nd - Elisa HOUDRY
3rd - Marina OLEXINA
Bye from Korea,
Alex

Hi everyone,
Today we went up to the take off as usual at 9:00. The weather was better like yesterday, with less side wind at the take off, but the problem was that the ridge didn't work so well. We had a
late task, the window opened at 14:15, but after 10 min they canceled the task. We
were already 20-30 pilots in the air, and for me the air condition seemed level 1, that means "safe".
We are back at the hotel. Some pilots went back to take off for a free flight and that's all.
Next days we may have showers :( :(

Hi everyone,
Hard day today. We had a race of 52 km, but due the strong wind, around 20
km/hour, it was hard to make it and also some turnpoints were in the lee side.
I had a great start but after that, I managed to get to the 2nd turn point
only
on the third try because it was on the top of the mountain, and we were
approaching from behind as the wind was blowing, so it was lee side. On the 5th
turn point which was the peak of a mountain and we had to make the same approach
like on the 3rd turn point, I tried only once and it didn't feel right, so i have chosen to go safe for landing.
The first pilot today is L. Bernardin (FRA) and first women for today is Seiko (FRA). A total of 25 pilots made goal today.
I made 29 km which means 42nd place for me, and overall in the competition 28th
place.
Tomorrow looks pretty much the same but maybe more windy.
Nice evening for everybody,
Alex

hello everyone,
So, today we left early for the take off, 9:00. The weather forecast was pretty much the same like yesterday, but today they prepared the task faster and at 11:00 the window for lunching was
already open. The task was made so that we need to exit one big cylinder at 12:00, then go through an intermediary point of 1km, and then goal. His length was 66km. The wind was strong, more then
20 km/hour, and it was from one side compared with the flying direction.
At 12:00 the race started, I was not in a very good position, but c'est la vie. The first 15km were hard, very strong conditions, with at least 2 reserves, and people fighting with their wings.
After that we moved to the flat lands, were I was able to push more. The guys who were in front separated in two different directions, so I was able to see where was the better line to the
finish.
The first one (Dean Stratton) finished the task in 1 hour 31 min. I am situated in 27th place with 1 hour 35min. In total, 80 people reached
the goal today.
Tomorrow looks cloudy and windy, maybe we won't fly.
Anyway, see you tomorrow,
Arvoir,
Aex

Hello everyone,
Today at 9:30 we started
going to the take off. It took a while until they made the task and the briefing. The task was 61km, and the wind at the take off was really strong due to the thermals.
At 13:00 the window opened.
Pilots were having problems to take off so the procedure was going really slow. I got up in the air, and wind was strong also at the altitude , I had a ground speed of 4 km/hour. After 10min they stopped the task due to the strong wind, and we all went to
land.
At 15:00 we came back to the
hotel, but at 17:00 some of
us were leaving again with the buses towards the take off. The wind was still blowing strong, so we needed to wait around 40 min in order to take
off. It was a good flight to get familiar with the fields around.
Tomorrow it is a dilemma, maybe good, or maybe like today, we will see.
Anyway, see you tomorrow,
Bonsoir a tous,
Alex
p.s. Today an American guy binged me the best food you can find in South Korea: a
hamburger from BurgerKing
